SUMMARY:Queen's Platinum Jubilee
DESCRIPTION:Communities are encouraged to get involved in celebrating the Queen’s 70 years of service to the Nation and Commonwealth. As a parish community\, we thought we would mark this historic event by planting a tree and commemorative plaque as part of the Queens Green Canopy. We will celebrate Mass on Thursday 2nd June at 10am followed by the tree planting in our garden\, refreshments and shared food. Pope Frances has reminded us to take care of the planet and not to exploit its resources. He emphasized that the “earth is an environment to be safeguarded\, a garden to be cultivated”. We will be holding a second collection on 15th May towards the cost of a tree and plaque if you would like to help. Please let us know if you have any further ideas for the Parish. \n
