Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to  receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them.

Bereavement MinistryHave you lost a loved one recently? Our Parish Bereavement Ministry is here to offer a hand of friendship and a listening ear. Please join us on Tuesday 6th September at 7pm, for a special Mass of Remembrance     followed by refreshments in the coffee bar.

RCIA  We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic    community. We are starting a new course on Wednesday evening 14th September. There are leaflets at the back of the Church that you may like to hand out for information. This course would also be suitable for any adults who wish to be    Confirmed. Please contact the office or speak to Fr Moses.

International Mass – Celebrating our Unity and Diversity 25th September 2022  We want to celebrate our togetherness. Pope Francis announces the theme as “Building the future together.” –  humanity as brothers and sisters. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our fraternity with a very special International Mass. Please save the date so we can all celebrate as a parish community – this was a wonderful successful day last year. Can your           community help to sing a part of the Mass? Venue will be at St John’s Comprehensive School.

March for Life Sat 3rd September. March to Oppose Abortion. Mass at Southwark Cathedral 11am. Events at The Emmanuel Centre, Marsham Street SW1P 3DW 10:30am – 1:30pm. The March – 2pm The Emmanuel Centre to Parliament Square (ends 4:30pm). See https://www.marchforlife.co.uk/

World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation  Pope Francis has established 1st September, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home. The day is inspired by Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical      Laudato Si’, which calls on “every person living on this planet” to care for our shared Earth. He  warns that we are reaching “a breaking point” and must act decisively so that “we and future generations can continue to rejoice in creation’s sweet song of life and hope.” It runs until 4th October, the feast of St Francis of Assisi and as a parish we will celebrate this time.

Baptisms  We welcome into our parish family Saylor-rae Tammy Alice Kennedy, Emilia Samko, Roman Samkova,         Michael Rossi, Eilee-Mae Mahony and William Gadzor who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish  office. Dates for the baptism course can be seen in the porch (Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism). Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 12th September).

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on 1st October after to 10am Mass. Please return           completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests by the end of September.

Last weeks collections:  First collection: £1012.80,  Church Maintenance £72.15. Thank you for your continued generosity.  Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order – forms are available on the information table if you would like to make your donation to the Church in this way instead of using gift aid envelopes or cash.

School Forms  Fr Moses will be available to sign school forms on Thurs between 1-4 pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Youth  We meet this Sunday after the 10.30am Mass. All young people welcome.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm .

First Friday – Hour of Mercy will be held in the Church this Friday 2nd September. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm    Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition, 3.30pm Mass. All are welcome to join us.

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday of each month a service will be held 11.30-12.30pm in the Church. It was first mentioned by Our Lady of Fatima on 13 July 1917. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Saturday.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Come and join the fellowship after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesday.

Table Top Sale Thank you for your support last Saturday. £245 was raised for SVP South Sudan appeal.

Marriage and Family Life Team run courses for a better marriage, engaged couples and people recently bereaved, divorced or separated. Please see the parish website for more details.

Music for All Seasons features our parishioner Mark Underwood on flute accompanied by Carol Anne Wells on piano.  An evening of film themes, famous classical music and more!  Saturday 24th September 2022, 7.30pm at St John the Baptist Church, Wrotham Road, Meopham DA13 0AA.
