Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families especially Matt Barron, Jude Mordi & Ubo Bakker. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked  ordinarily.

International Mass – Celebrating our Unity in Diversity    We are a living Church, we showed how blessed we are as a parish family in our celebration last Sunday. Thank you to everyone who helped in any way with the catering and preparations. Well done!

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on Saturday 14th October. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday during October –  everyone is welcome, please join us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Baptism  Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 9 Oct).

Last weeks collections  £1,320.85. Thank you for your continued generosity. Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order and contactless and your continued support.

Prisoners Sunday. This Sunday, 8th October is a day of prayer for prisoners and their families.

Cafod Family Fast Day There will be a second collection at all Masses this weekend for Cafod.

We invite you to join the 200 Club. £20 buys 12 months’ worth of draw entries starting from the end of October. The draw takes place each month.  Prizes 1st – £55, 2nd – £35, 3rd- £25, 4th – £15, Forms available at the back of the church. Please return  in an envelope marked ‘200 Club’ .

World Mission Sunday. Next Sunday 15th October is World Mission Sunday. There will be a second collection for the work of Missio.

Synod  Please continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will guide those gathered in Rome to reflect on the Church.

St John’s Ladies  Our next meeting will be held next Saturday 14th October at 2pm in the coffee bar. Please come and join us. We meet at 2pm on the second Saturday of each month.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Come and join the fellowship after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesday.

RCIA We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic     community, or wishes to be Confirmed. Please contact the parish office or speak to Fr Moses.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Mass IntentionsIf you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

School Forms We will be available to sign school forms on Thursday between 12-2pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all masses next weekend 14th & 15th October. The most needed items are Biscuits & Crackers, Tinned Meat & Fish, Tinned Fruit, Tinned Veg, Tinned Spaghetti, Coffee, Cereals, Sweets & Chocolate Bars & Cereal Bars . Thank you as always for your generosity.

Catholic Charismatic Renewal   Do you desire living more fully, more spiritually and discovering and putting your gifts at God’s service? This may be a group to try. We meet on Fridays at 7pm in St John’s Church

Parish Pastoral Council  From the consultations we did when we asked for nominations at the beginning of the year, we shall present the new Pastoral Council to the whole church on the Feast of Christ the King.
