Planned Giving  Over the last few weeks we have asked you to prayerfully consider your commitment to your parish.     Today you will hear more about Planned Giving and Stewardship, including why our parish needs financial help to cover our costs. And very importantly, why we need your God-given talents to reflect a true and lively Christian Community! This week we ask each household to take a leaflet home to see how you may help your parish in so many ways. Our goal is to receive an informed decision from everyone in the parish.

Palm Sunday Today is Palm Sunday and the start of Holy Week. Palms will be blessed and distributed at all masses.

Easter Family Craft Afternoon  Please join us in the coffee bar 2-4pm.

Easter Presentation- St John’s Primary School Everyone is invited this Tuesday 26th March at 6pm in the Church.

Wednesday There is no midday Mass or Exposition on Wednesday as the Chrism Mass will take place at St George’s    Cathedral at 11.30am. Mass at St John’s will be at 6.30pm.

Holy Saturday  Blessing of Food (Swieconka Wesolego Alleluya) There will be services for the blessing of food at 10am and 11am in the Church.

Last weeks collections  £1,112.51, Poor Parishes £579.09. Dona Machine February £1,040.33.

On Good Friday there will be a collection for Holy Places of Palestine. Your Easter offering is for our Priests at St John’s. We are ever so grateful.

Children’s Liturgy Thank you to all those who have responded. We hope to restart the sessions in the near future.

Baptism This Sunday at the 10.30am Mass we will be baptizing candidates from the RCIA including Shola Allisons, Regina Bello, Monai Elliott, Pauline Mbati, Claire Dysart, Cecilia Chaniwa, Sean Kennedy, Mira Lukosevicius and children from the First Holy Communion Preparation group, Max Evans, Saymons Samko, Denis Frater, Jayden Mutero, Kudzaishe Mackenzie Chaniwa, Michael Chaniwa, Dione Chaniwa. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 8th April).

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend (£10 is recommended) in the envelope. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends.

Mass in Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage July 13th 2024 at St George’s Cathedral If you are celebrating your 1st/10th/25th/40th/50th/60th + wedding anniversary this year, please let us know as soon as possible, and no later than May 31st 2024, providing the following details:  your names (ie John and Mary Smith), your home address, the anniversary you are celebrating, so you can receive an invitation from the Archbishop for the renewal of vows during Mass.  Spaces are limited.  Email: mflkent@rcaos.org.uk  As the title of your email, please write your parish location e.g. Gravesend, St Johns.  

Altar servers Rally at The Friars, Aylesford on May Day bank holiday 6th May. Mass will be celebrated at 11.30am.     Everyone is welcome to attend especially our servers, families and friends. Altar servers are encouraged to attend with    family and friends.

Building a Better Marriage  Thank you to all the couples who took part last Saturday. We hope you found it a rewarding and joyful day. A bracelet was found at the school – please let us know if you lost one last Saturday.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately. The Divine Mercy Novena starts on Good Friday – that day online at 2pm.

Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in     hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
