International Mass Our Annual International Mass is only 2 weeks away on   Sunday 15th September 10.30am at St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our fraternity with a very special International Mass. There is now a clipboard for anyone who would like to make a donation of food, drink, disposable items etc. The Mayor of Gravesham, Cllr Daniel Adewale King will be  joining us.

10.30am Mass that day will be moved to the Comprehensive; there will  be no 9.30am Mass at Denton.

Next Sunday 8th we will have a meeting during the Knights coffee morning to finalize any plans.

World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation  Pope Francis has established 1st September, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home. The World Day of Prayer for the Care of    Creation, celebrated on 1 September, kicks off the Season of Creation, a time of sustained prayer and action. It runs until 4th October, the feast of St Francis of Assisi and as a parish we will celebrate this time.

Robin Mclauchlan RIP There will be Mass on Wednesday at 7pm. Everyone is welcome.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Henry Butler who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 9th Sept).

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on Saturday 28th September. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests

Last weeks collections  £1116.69. Next Week: There is a second collection for Catholic Education Service. There are over 2,000 Catholic schools in England & Wales educating over 800,000 students. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.

Youth Retreat The next Diocesan Youth Retreat for 13-17 year olds will be on Saturday 12 October at St. John Fisher School, City Way, Rochester, ME1 2AE. First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 6th Sept. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition, 3.30pm Mass. All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 6th Sept after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Saturday 7th Sept. If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will  always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 10-12 and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

 First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday each month a service is held 11.30-12.30pm in the Church.  Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Sat 7th Sept.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the       envelope. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially         remember our sick friends and family.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Come and Rest in Me  is a contemplative group that meets around the Word of God on Wednesdays 8-9pm. Click here for the zoom link.

Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the          hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

Prayer  ‘Season of Creation’

Father, Lord of all creation, we praise you with all your creatures and the whole universe that comes forth from the work of Your hands. We acknowledge the privilege and responsibility that You give us as stewards of Your creation.
In our ignorance we have done damage to our   common home and our brothers and sisters are suffering.

Through faithfully following your Son guide and   direct us to prepare for a better future. Teach us to contemplate You in the beauty of the universe, for all things speak of You.
Give us the grace to recognise, respect and protect all You have created, using wisely all that you have entrusted to us.

Holy Spirit, who first hovered over the dawn of creation and drew order out of the chaos help us to build your kingdom of justice, love, peace and beauty where the poor of the earth are crying out. You, who live and reign, world without end, Amen.
