Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

All Saints and All Souls Friday is the celebration of All Saints and is a Holy day of obligation and Saturday the feast of   All Souls. Please see the extra Mass times.

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday. Everyone is welcome, please join us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Eden Rose Erangey who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 11th Nov).

Last weeks collections  £1,341.21. Mission £712.41.Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.

Coffee Morning. Our SVP group invites you all to a coffee morning after 8.30am & 10.30am Masses this Sunday 27th Oct in aid of SVP South Sudan Appeal. All proceeds will be donated to support the work of SVP in South Sudan.

Foodbank Thanks Thank you for your generous Harvest donations last weekend & very special thanks to St John’s      Primary School for their wonderful contribution. We were able to deliver 327 kg of much needed food & other essentials to help local families in need.

School form signing  Fr Stephen will be available to sign school forms on Monday 3-5pm & Wednesday 2-4pm.

November Please collect an envelope and list deceased family & friends and place into the basket available on the altar. They will be remembered at all Masses during November and a Mass on 30th November at 6pm.

Remembrance Mass will be celebrated at St John’s on Wednesday13th November at 12 noon to remember and pray for all our family and friends who have died. We read out the names of those who have died in our parish during the last year and you are invited to light a candle for them and your family. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this annual Mass. Please, if you have lost anyone in the past 2 years, let us have the names through the Secretary so that we could include in the names to be read out.

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 1st Nov. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition. All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 4th Oct after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Saturday 5th Oct. If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will  always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 10-12 and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday each month a service is held 11.30-12.30pm in the Church.  Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Sat 2nd Nov.

Parish Bazaar This years bazaar will be held at St John’s Comp School on Saturday 30th Nov. Draw tickets are now available. Tickets are 50p or £2.50 a book. We would be delighted if you could take and sell them to your family and friends and encourage them to come to the Bazaar. Please return counterfoils and money by placing in a marked envelope in the    collection plate, one of the priests or parish office. Please do let us know if you are able to donate to the raffle. A box is available for donations for the bazaar – bottles, toys, teddies, unwanted gifts etc all gratefully accepted. We are also looking for help or new stalls/ideas. Contact the office or talk to Father.

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course has just started 7.30-8.30pm. Please let  Fr Moses know if you would like to join.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

Mother’s prayer group will take place straight after the 9.15 mass on Friday 11th October. Join us if you can .

Admission to Primary School 2025 If your child is due to start primary school from September 2025, applications will be open on line with KCC at www.kent.gov.uk/ola between Tuesday 5th November and Wednesday 15th January 2025.  If you do not have access to the internet and require a paper form (RCAF), please contact the Primary Admissions Team on 03000412121 – Any queries, please contact St John’s Catholic Primary School on 01474534546.

Open Morning at St John’s Catholic Primary School – If your child is due to start school in September 2025, please bring your child along to our open morning on Saturday 16th November. Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
