Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the  information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

Parish Bazaar This years bazaar will be held at St John’s Comp School on Saturday 30th Nov. (only 2 weekends to collect your donations). Christmas outfits optional! Father Christmas will be present for photographs, the famous Wheel of Fortune, Tombola, Games, Toys, Gifts, Refreshments, Cakes, World Foods, Repository and more. Draw tickets are now available. Tickets are 50p or £2.50 a book. We would be delighted if you could take and sell them to your family and friends and   encourage them to come to the Bazaar. Please return counterfoils and money by placing in a marked envelope in the   collection plate, one of the priests or parish office. A box is available for donations for the bazaar – bottles, toys, teddies, unwanted gifts etc all gratefully accepted and needed. There will be a meeting on Tuesday 7th November at 7pm in the coffee bar for helpers and ideas. Fr Moses looks forward to welcoming you all to this lovely annual gathering.

November Please collect an envelope and list deceased family & friends and place into the basket available on the altar. They will be remembered at all Masses during November and a Mass on 30th November at 6pm.

Remembrance Mass will be celebrated at St John’s this Wednesday13th November at 12 noon to remember and pray for all our family and friends who have died. We read out the names of those who have died in our parish during the last year and you are invited to light a candle for them and your family. We warmly invite    everyone to join us for this annual Mass. Please, if you have lost anyone in the past 2 years, let us have the names through the secretary, sacristans or Fr Moses so that we could include in the names to be read out.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed (10am-12noon) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

Last weeks collections  £1,394.38. This Week: Second collection for Archbishop’s Appeal – a Diocesan collection for key areas of ministry. Youth and Evangelisation, Our Faith in Action and Clergy Care and formation. Your support will enable  innovative projects taking place within Catholic parishes and schools throughout South London and Kent. Every gift is    welcome.Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.

Foodbank We will be collecting for the foodbank at all Masses this weekend. Most needed items include Squash, coffee, hot chocolate, tinned meat, longlife milk. Thank you for your support.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Quinn Goodall, Florence Eaton, Sophia Ijezie and Betsie Salter who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office.  Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is   Monday 11th Nov).

Deceased Clergy Mass will be held on Thursday14th November at 11.30am at St John’s. You are welcome to attend.

Holy Hour Bishops of England and Wales will gather before the Blessed Sacrament this Wedn 13th Nov 5.30-6.30pm to pray for the Dignity of Human Life. We will also have Adoration at St John’s during that time. Please join us.

Confirmation The preparation programme for young people in Years 8-13 at school or 13 years of age by 1 September 2025, who are interested in being confirmed in 2025 begins in January 2025. To register for the programme please complete the Google Form:  https://forms.gle/Getb9fGoGsNY1JTX9

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course has just started 7.30-8.30pm. Please let Fr Moses know if you would like to join.

Needed  Volunteer work in the Presbytery for 2 hours a week to help with hoovering.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

Open Morning at St John’s Catholic Primary School – If your child is due to start school in September 2025, please bring your child along to our open morning on Saturday 16th November. Please telephone 01474361609 to book a start time: 11.00 11:30 12:00 or 12:30. We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Harmony of Hope concert Featuring four artists including our parishioner Mark Underwood and a brilliant young marimba player.  Saturday 23rd Nov 7.30pm at St George’s Church, Gravesend DA11 0DJ.  All proceeds to Hive Hope Foodbank (Northfleet), Dandelion Time and other Rotary supported charities.

Mother’s prayer group will take place straight after the 9.15 mass every Friday. You are invited to join us if you could.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.
