FLAME 2025 Saturday 15th March 2025 at OVO Arena, Wembley for the largest Catholic gathering of young people in England and Wales and has a range of exciting speakers and prayer activities. Flame Congress Tickets cost £29  plus travel of £20, totaling to £49. The Parish has subsidised tickets so each person will pay £25. This price £25 will be inclusive of train tickets, more information to follow. To book please contact the Youth Co-ordinators Millicent Afeeva 07932633608 or Marie Hughes 07941657407 (Denton). We would like many young people to attend this event to build their faith. Deadline for booking is Sunday.

Please welcome Karen Thompson who will be speaking at Mass regarding School Governors and will leave an information leaflet at the back of church that could be picked up if any one is interested.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Violet Rose Gath who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for    Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to  attend a preparation session   before the baptism (the next session is Monday 13th Jan @7pm). Please email the office.

Monthly tea/Coffee Today there will be tea and coffee served in the Coffee Room after 10.30 am Mass. You are most welcome to the Coffee bar after Mass for the refreshments and some social get-together.

Last weeks collections  £1,124.72. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.

Pastoral letter  read next weekend at all masses from Archbishop John. Copies will be available.

Christian Unity  18-25th  January. The Church observes 8 days of prayer for Christian Unity

Foodbank We will be collecting at all Masses this weekend 11/12th Jan for the foodbank. The most needed items include ready made jelly, hot puddings, crackers, tinned veg & meat, shower gel. Thank you.

Missionary Society of St Paul will be celebrating their Silver Jubilee of serving in the UK. A special Mass will be held at St George’s Cathedral on Friday 14th February at 6.30pm. All are invited to this special occasion. We wish to thank you or your support and friendship, especially during the years that Fr Casmir, Fr Innocent and myself served as Parish Priests.   If you see yourself as friends of MSP, please come to the Presbytery on the 14th January @8pm.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends.

School Forms We will be available to sign school forms on Tues 14th Jan between 2-4pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed (10am-12noon) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

Mother’s prayer group takes place straight after the 9.15 mass every Friday. You are invited to join us and pray for our children especially.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Come and Rest in Me  is a contemplative group that meets around the Word of God on Wednesdays 8-9pm. Click here for the zoom link.

Wednesday Teas You are welcome to come into the Coffee Bar after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesdays for refreshments and friendship.

Keep Fit  Everyone is welcome to join our gentle exercise class in the coffee bar on Wednesday at 1.15pm. Exercises may be done seated or standing. 30 minutes £3 a session.

Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
