Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
Lent We wish to appeal for active and regular participation at the masses, attendance to the Station of the Cross and the sacrament of penance/reconciliation/confession during this special season of grace. Above all, let us pray for one another, the Church and the world. Please collect a Lenten leaflet with all the dates of services up to Easter Sunday.
Lenten booklets Lenten booklets are now available at the back of the Church. There are 2 different books, one with readings of the day and one with reflections of the day (£1 donation). There is also a selection of children’s booklets.
Novena 10th-18th to St Joseph The Novena prayer will take place each day 30 minutes before Mass and Sunday 5.30pm. We pray this novena to St. Joseph the Worker for nine days, culminating on the Solemnity of Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Virgin. We can pray this novena to ask for Joseph’s special care over a particular intention such as help in an area of our lives needing discernment.
Knights of St. Columba: Monthly tea/Coffee -Today there will be tea and coffee served in the Coffee Room after 10.30am Mass. You are most welcome to the Coffee bar after Mass for the refreshments and some social get-together.
St Patrick Monday17th March is the feast of St Patrick. Fr Joe will be distributing shamrock on Saturday 15th March at the 6pm Mass.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed (12.30-6pm – please sign up so that there will always be someone with Our Lord) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.
Pilgrimage of Hope to Walsingham – Saturday 31st May As Pilgrims of Hope, let us make a Parish Pilgrimage of hope to Walsingham together; it’s half term so you can come with all the family on a One Day Parish Family Trip. It will be quality time with each other and with God. Come one, Come all!! There is a clipboard at the back of the Church for names; please put your name on the list by the end of March. Children travel free and we want to make the day affordable for all.
Called to Bear Fruit Every parishioner/family is encouraged to take of copy of this book. Most of us have neighbours in our locality who are/were Catholics. Do not be afraid to reach out to them, arrange a meeting to look at the booklet. Indeed we are called to bear fruit abundantly. How are we doing prayerfully looking at the booklet either individually, as a family or with our neighbours? Well done to all who made efforts. May God’s Spirit guide us. Amen
Baptism We welcome into our parish family Louie-Jack William Barnett and Eleanora-Mary Ikhuoria who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 10th March @7pm). Please email the office.
Last weeks collections £1,548.51. Next Sunday there will be a second collection for CAFOD. Pope Francis’ appeal for solidarity and justice. Today, 54 countries – including Kenya – are in a debt crisis, paying to service debts which takes money from services like health and schools. And as we enter Lent, anchored in the hope of Christ please keep our global brothers and sisters in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.
Booking Mass Intentions: Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm.
Wednesday Teas You are welcome to come into the Coffee Bar after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesdays for refreshments and friendship.
Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the foodbank at all Masses this weekend 8/9th March. Most need items are coffee, tinned meat/veg/fish, peanut butter, crackers. Thank you for your support.
Gift Aid The new gift aid envelopes are now available. Please collect from the Sacristy after Mass.

Date for your diary: Archdiocesan Jubilee Celebration Day at The Friars, Aylesford 7 June 2025. Led by Archbishop John Wilson, we will gather as an Archdiocese at The Friars, Aylesford for a day of prayer, reflection, celebration, and fun.
Flame 2025 We wish our young people going to Wembley Arena a wonderful fulfilling day. We are sorry that not everyone was able to go as the tickets had all been sold out.
