Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
Palm Sunday Palms will be blessed and distributed at all the masses this weekend. It is the beginning of Holy week; please make a note of the changes of services this week.
Easter Family Craft Afternoon Join us in the coffee bar 2-4pm this Sunday 13th April.
Wednesday16th April There is no midday Mass or Exposition on that Wednesday as the Chrism Mass will take place at St George’s Cathedral at 11.30am. Mass at St John’s will be at 6.30pm.
Holy Saturday Blessing of Food (Swieconka Wesolego Alleluya) There will be services for the blessing of food at 10am and 11am in the Church on 19th April.
Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham We have had a wonderful response to our pilgrimage and would like to start collecting the money for the coach. Please would you put your name on an envelope with how many seats you require. Adults @ £20 and children free. Your envelopes may be put into the collection plate, handed to one of the priests or the parish office. (St Mary’s monies may be given to Marie Hughes). We would like to confirm the numbers by the 30th April as the coaches need to be paid. Please do let us know if you are unable to come that day if your name was on the list.
Family Parish Picnic – Galilee Day (Easter Monday) Please join us for Mass at 10am at St John’s then we will make our way down to the river front (by the cafeteria area) for a family and friends afternoon. Bring as many people as you can and bring food, games, chairs, rugs etc for a fun and entertaining afternoon.
Last weeks collections £1.198.48 Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless. On Good Friday there will be a collection for Holy Places of Palestine. Your Easter offering is for our Priests at St John’s. Envelopes are available at the back of the Church. We are ever so grateful.

Baptism Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 12th May @7pm). Please email the office.
Altar servers Rally at The Friars, Aylesford on May Day bank holiday 5th May. Mass will be celebrated at 11.30am. Everyone is welcome to attend especially our servers, families and friends. Altar servers are encouraged to attend with family and friends.

Assisted suicide Bill – postcards available Committee Stage of the assisted suicide Bill has ended. It is now weaker and less safe than it was before. 300+ amendments that sought to strengthen safeguards in the Bill and protect vulnerable groups were rejected by Bill supporters, including protection for people with disabilities and domestic abuse victims. Please take action now – collect a red and white postcard, fill out your details and post it to Dr Lauren Sullivan MP

Jubilee Celebration at Aylesford Priory – update. Archbishop John is inviting all of us to the Southwark Archdiocesan Jubilee Celebration at The Friars, Aylesford on Saturday 7 June. It promises to be a great day. Find out more from the poster in the porch or by visiting aec.rcaos.org.uk/jubileecelebration Pre-booking for the 90-minute ministry sessions for children (KS1+2) and young people (KS3+4) will commence at 11am on Wednesday 30 April at aec.rcaos.org.uk/jubileecelebration. Booking Mass Intentions: Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm. We try and put the intention on any date specified but it is not always possible – if you would like a specific date please try and request early.
Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
