Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
Parish Pilgrimage to Walsingham A wonderful day was had by the 118 parishioners who came to Walsingham. Some comments included ‘spiritual and engaging’, ‘a time of prayer and reflection’, ‘the entrance procession was a blessed moment’. The young people spoke about Adoration and enjoyed having a day with the parish. One child enjoyed lunch and another the coach journey. Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those that organized the day. Please see the photographs in the porch.
First Holy Communion Please welcome and remember in your prayer the children from St John’s Primary School who will be making their First Holy Communion next Saturday afternoon.
Last weeks collections £1,337.64, World Communication Day £245.92. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless. We are ever so grateful.
Confirmation Certificates will be handed out after the 10.30am Mass this Sunday.
Baptism We welcome into our parish family Hazel McMahon who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 9th June @7pm). Please email the office.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.
Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all Masses next weekend 14th&15th June. The most needed items are Tinned Veg ,Fruit & Kidney Beans, Tinned Tuna, Tinned Meat, Instant Mash, Squash & Crackers. Thank you for your support.
Altar Servers Our next training & practice will be on Sat 21st June at 1pm in the Church. Please do your best to attend. New Servers are welcome to join us. For more information please speak to Fr Stephen, Fr Moses, Graham or Jacky after any Mass.
Church Garden Thank you to our team of gardeners. The Church garden is looking lovely and a lot of work has gone into maintaining it. Special thanks to Mary Gaskill, Janet and Sean.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
Wednesday Teas You are welcome to come into the Coffee Bar after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesdays for refreshments and friendship.
Monthly Tea/Coffee -Today there will be tea and coffee served in the Coffee Room after 10.30 am Mass. You are most welcome to the Coffee bar after Mass for the refreshments and some social get-together.
Book club You are invited to the Rotary Club of Gravesham and Ebbsfleet to their monthly book club conversation at St Johns in the Coffee bar on Wednesday 11th June at 6.30pm. The anchor of this programme is Fr Stephen Ojapah.
Summertime 2025: 6th Aug – 9th Aug: Altar Servers Trip to Westminster Pastoral Centre, £189. For aged 11-16. We commend this excellent residential trip for altar servers and those who regularly attend mass on the weekend. In an event that has now gone on for more than 20 years, it is a few days for deepening one’s catholic faith, in a great social atmosphere, including football, sports and visit to Thorpe Park. Walk the Augustine Camino for Mary’s Meals 1 – 8 September. During this Jubilee Year we would be delighted if you joined us as Pilgrims of Hope on some or all of the Augustine Camino, starting at Rochester Cathedral, finishing at the Shrine of St Augustine in Ramsgate.
