Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 01474 352415. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families.

Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

Parish Bazaar This years bazaar will be held at St John’s Comp School on Saturday 22nd Nov. (only 2 weekends to collect your donations). Draw tickets are now available. Tickets are 50p or £2.50 a book. We would be delighted if you could take and sell them to your family and friends and encourage them to come to the Bazaar. Please return counterfoils and money by placing in a marked envelope in the collection plate, one of the priests or parish office. A box is available for donations for the bazaar – raffle prize, bottles, toys, teddies, unwanted gifts etc all gratefully accepted and needed. Please, we are looking for new ideas and let us know if you are able to run a stall. Please see Jacky (Altar Server) or email the office gravesend@rcaos.org.uk. Fr Emmanuel and Fr Stephen look forward to welcoming you all to this lovely annual     gathering.

All Souls There will be Masses at 9.15am, 12 noon and 6pm on Monday 3rd November for the feast of All Souls.

November Please collect an envelope and list deceased family & friends and place into the basket available on the altar. They will be remembered at all Masses during November and a Mass on 30th November.

Remembrance Mass will be celebrated at St John’s on Wednesday 12th November at 12 noon to remember and pray for all our family and friends who have died. We read out the names of those who have died in our parish during the last year and you are invited to light a candle for them and your family. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this annual Mass. Please, if you have lost anyone in the past 2 years, let us have the names through the secretary, welcomers, sacristans or Priests so that we could include in the names to be read out.

Baptisms Application forms for  Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 10th November @7pm) or email the office. 

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 7th November. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition. Mass will be 3.45pm.  All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 7th November after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Sat 8th.  If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 10-12 noon and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday of each month a service will be held  immediately after Mass in the Church. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Saturday 8th November.

Last weeks collections  £1,020.60, Thank you. Next week: Second collection for Archbishops Appeal; three key mission areas: Youth & Evangelization, Our Faith in Action and Clergy Care & Formation. Thanks also to our parishioners who have signed up for Gift  Aid & those who donate by contactless & standing order.

School Forms The priest will be available to sign school forms this Tuesday from 11-1pmpm  Please ring on the Presbytery bell.

Children’s Liturgy  Children’s Liturgy returns in a new form after the summer break. We welcome children of age 4-8 to weekly sessions. From this week we will start at 10 o’clock every Sunday. Please, speak to a member of Children’s Liturgy team after 10.30 Sunday mass to find out more details.

Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. Contact the office or speak to one of the priests. Leaflets are available at the back of the Church.

Coffee Bar  Teas and coffee will be served after 12 noon Mass this Wednesday. Please come along for a friendly chat.

St John’s Catholic Primary School Open Morning for children starting Reception in September 2026 is on Saturday 15th November. This is a stay and play session with opportunities to attend a headteacher talk and tour the school. Please call or email the school office to make your booking.

Padre Pio Prayers each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel.

Stamps  Sister Delores is collecting stamps for the RNIB. Please place any donations in the box at the back of the Church.

Stop assisted suicide – Sending a physical letter carries particular weight with    Members of the House of Lords. Right To Life UK has created a simple tool that    generates personalised letters to Peers. Please visit www.righttolife.org.uk/aspeersletter to send a letter to Peers asking them to oppose assisted suicide.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.
