Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the          hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday. Everyone is welcome, please join us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course will start this Wednesday 2nd October 7.30-8.30pm. Please, do remember them all and the whole team in your prayers. However, if you feel inspired to journey with them on a more deeper and personal level, or perhaps feel inspired to join the team, particularly our previous RCIA candidates, please do pray about this and speak to either of the Priests, Catherine Gurney or myself, Lucy Mateta.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Milan Gazi who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 14th Oct).

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Preparation classes started this weekend. Please keep the children in your prayers.

Last weeks collections  £1,179.03. Next Sunday: second collection for CAFOD. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.

Fr Stephen Ojapah msp has written a book titled ‘Tears and Torture; 33 Days in Kidnappers Den’. The book will be launched formally on the 8th October at the University of Surrey in Guilford at 6pm. Parishioners who would like to attend should indicate by calling the parish office or email so we can see if a coach could be booked. If you wish to purchase a copy of the book (minimum donation £15) they will be available from a steward after Masses, the Repository or contact the office. The book is also available on Amazon.

KSC Council 977 – 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass this Saturday 28th September with a little celebration in the coffee bar afterwards. Please keep them in your prayers.

Foodbank Thank you for your generous donations last weekend.  We were able to deliver 132.4 kg of food & other essentials to help local families in need.

Half term trip to Fatima 28th – 31st October Cost £399 for adults,£299 for children. Three places left. This trip is led by Fr. Stephen Boyle (Dartford Parish).  For more details dartford@rcaos.org.uk, Tel: 01322 220075. Insurance is not included. There is also one place left on a pilgrimage to Fatima the week before, 21st – 24th October.

Afternoon for Readers to introduce the new translation for the Lectionary led by Bishop Paul Hendricks at St Thomas of Canterbury, CT1 2HJ on Sat 2nd Nov 2-4pm   

Parish Bazaar This years bazaar will be held at St John’s Comp School on Saturday 30th Nov. We will have draw tickets available from next week. Please do let us know if you are able to donate to the raffle. We will start collecting soon and also looking for help or new stalls/ideas. Contact the office or talk to Father.

Singing Fr Stephen and some of our Parishioners have produced an inspiring song titled ‘The Magnificat’ sung in six different languages, English, Hausa, Polish, Tamil, Swahili and Igbo. It was released during the International Mass. They are planning and preparing for the video production. If any parishioner would like to financially support the video production please speak to Fr Stephen or call the office.

Missio  a parish volunteer is needed. Please speak to Father if you might be interested.

Banns of Marriage  Lester Tony Travassa (Hampton Crescent, Gravesend) wishes to marry Bernice Ana Carvalho; if you have any objection to this marriage, please come and talk to the priests in the parish.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 4th Oct. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition, 3.30pm Mass. All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 4th Oct after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Saturday 5th Oct. If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will  always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 10-12 and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday each month a service is held 11.30-12.30pm in the Church.  Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Sat 5th Oct.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Come and Rest in Me  is a contemplative group that meets around the Word of God on Wednesdays 8-9pm. Click here for the zoom link.
