Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to  receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them.

Bereavement MinistryHave you lost a loved one recently? Our Parish Bereavement Ministry is here to offer a hand of friendship and a listening ear. Please join us on Tuesday 6th September at 7pm, for a special Mass of Remembrance     followed by refreshments in the coffee bar.

RCIA  We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic    community. We are starting a new course on Wednesday evening 14th September. There are leaflets at the back of the Church that you may like to hand out for information. This course would also be suitable for any adults who wish to be    Confirmed. Please contact the office or speak to Fr Moses.

New School Session: We wish our children a fruitful school session; we pray for Paula Cooneyhan and Caroline Baron in their new responsibility as St John’s Headteachers.

Urgent CAFOD Appeal This weekend we have a second collection for the DEC Pakistan Floods Appeal. Your donation will help CAFOD’s local partners support communities with clean drinking water, food, emergency medical assistance and shelter. Please pray for those affected and donate now at cafod.org.uk/give

World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation  Pope Francis has established 1st September, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home. The day is inspired by Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical      Laudato Si’, which calls on “every person living on this planet “to care for our shared Earthsong of life and hope.” It runs until 4th October, the feast of St Francis of Assisi. We will be saying the Creation prayer at Masses during this time.

Baptisms  Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish  office. Dates for the baptism course can be seen in the porch (Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism). Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 12th September).

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on 1st October after to 10am Mass. Please return           completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests by the end of September.

Last weeks collections:  First collection: £1108.10,  Church Maintenance £68.47. Next Weekend there will be a second collection for Catholic Education Service. Thank you for your continued generosity.  Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order – forms are available on the information table if you would like to make your donation to the Church in this way instead of using gift aid envelopes or cash.

School Forms  Fr Moses will be available to sign school forms on Thurs between 1-4 pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

The Bethlehem Nativity Group TBNG, A missionary from Bethlehem, The Holy Land will visit us on the weekend 17/18th September to briefly talk about the Holy Land and sell religious articles made out of Olive Wood from the Holy Land to help and support the poor Christian families, any help you could give to them it will be highly appreciated “when you help the poor you help our Lord”.

KSC Refreshments invites parishioners to stay behind in the coffee bar after 10.30am Mass for fellowship, tea and coffee next Sunday.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm .

Table Top Sale Thank you for your support last Saturday. £275.10 was raised for the Church.

Music for All Seasons features our parishioner Mark Underwood on flute accompanied by Carol Anne Wells on piano.  An evening of film themes, famous classical music and more!  Saturday 24th September 2022, 7.30pm at St John the Baptist Church, Wrotham Road, Meopham DA13 0AA.
