Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to  receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them.

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday during October –   everyone is welcome, please join us.

Thank you to everyone who came or helped in any way at the International Mass last Sunday. It was a beautiful uplifting occasion and lovely to share fellowship. Thank you to St John’s Comprehensive school for their support.

KSC invites parishioners to stay behind in the coffee bar after 10.30am Mass for fellowship, tea and coffee  after 10.30am Mass today.

Parish Pilgrimage to Medjugorje Fr Moses will lead the pilgrimage this Monday until 10th October. We will remember them in our prayers and I am sure they will pray for us. We wish them a safe and peaceful time.

Mr Patrick Amune RIP  It is with great sadness that Fr Moses brother Patrick died in Nigeria this week. Patrick visited us earlier this year and joined us at daily Mass. Please pray for Patrick that he may rest in peace and rise in glory. Please also pray for Fr Moses and his family to comfort them during this time of sorrow.

Harvest  Next Sunday 9th October we will celebrate Harvest Sunday. If you wish to make donations for the masses we will forward it to the foodbank.

Divine Mercy Chaplet From Monday, due to upcoming commitments, the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday only (not weekends) for the foreseeable future. See the parish website (click here) for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Prisons Week 9 – 15 October  Prisoners’ Sunday marks the first day of the ecumenical Prisons Week, a dedicated week of prayer across our Christian communities. Prisons Week was founded by Bishop Victor Guazzelli in 1975. Since then, the Prisons Week group has prepared resources to enable the Christian community to pray for the needs of all those affected by imprisonment.

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools The classes have now started. Please      remember the children in your prayers.

St Bernadette Relic Tour the relics are due to visit St George’s Cathedral from 19 to 21 October; they will also visit Aylesford Priory from Monday 24 October until Friday 28 October. Please consult the website of each venue for further  details and times.

RCIA  We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wishes to be Confirmed. Please come to the Presbytery on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.

Baptisms  We welcome into our parish family Cillian Ferris and Milan Tuszynski who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish  office. Dates for the baptism course can be seen in the porch. Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism. Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 10th October).

School Forms  Fr Vincent will be available to sign school forms on Thurs between 2-5pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Diaries 2023 Our parish diaries for 2023 have arrived and are available at the back of the Church. Although they are free a donation into the ‘papers box’ would be appreciated.

APF/Missio Chris Moreton and Pippa will be at all masses at St John’s on the weekend of 8/9 Oct. Please try and remember to bring your boxes.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Bazaar  We know it sounds early but we will be holding a meeting about the Bazaar on Wednesday 12th October at 6.30pm in the Coffee Bar. We hope to have lots of new ideas and how we can have the most successful day together.
