Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to  receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them.

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday during October –  everyone is welcome, please join us.

 

Last weeks collections:  First collection: £1217.64, Church maintenance  £57.00.

Next Sunday is World Mission Sunday and there will be a second collection. Missio supports churches, hospitals, schools and vocations in countries where the Church is new, young or poor.

St Bernadette Relic Tour the relics are due to visit St George’s Cathedral from 19 to 21 October; they will also visit Aylesford Priory from Monday 24 October until Friday 28 October. Please consult the website of each venue for further details and times or the poster in the porch for the times at Aylesford Priory.

RCIA  We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wishes to be Confirmed. Please come to the Presbytery on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.

Baptisms  We welcome into our parish family Amy Adamova, Daryl Impact, Desiree Asare, and Milan Tuszynski who were baptized this week. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish  office. Dates for the baptism course can be seen in the porch. Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism. Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 14th November).

School Forms  Fr Moses will be available to sign school forms on Thurs between 12-4pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Vacancy – St Joseph’s Convent  A cook is required Sat/Sun once a month to prepare a lunch (9.45am-1pm) with occasional cover at other times. Please speak to Sr Anne 01474 569565 if you may be interested.

Foodbank  We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all Masses this weekend, 15/16 Oct. The most needed items are Tinned Veg, Macaroni Cheese, Cous cous, Sponge Puddings, Tinned Meat & Fish, Biscuits & Crackers, Squash & Juice, Sweets & Crisps, Toiletries & Cleaning Products. Thank you.

200 Club  September Winners 1st: £55 – David Boyle, 2nd:  £35 – Vincent Balzan,  3rd: £25 – Bernadette Turner, 4th: £15 – Knights of St Columba. Thank you for your continued support. (Numbers drawn at Wednesday Teas 5th October) We have a table at all masses this month to collect subscriptions. We welcome new people joining £20 buys you 12 months of draws.

Mass OfferingsIf you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday only (not weekends) for the foreseeable future. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Bazaar  This year our parish bazaar will be held on Saturday 26th November at 12 noon in St Johns Comprehensive School. Please save this date. We hope the draw tickets will be available next week. We are now collecting donations for the various stalls and there is a list at the back of the church with suggestions including bottles, teddies, toys, puzzles, Christmas decorations, Christmas goodies, toiletries, bags, scarves etc. Please do consider helping by either running a stall or helping on the day. Ideas are most welcome. Either speak to Fr Moses or the office.
