Our wonderful celebrations this Christmas could never have gone ahead without so many people giving their time and skill to the Parish. Our warmest thanks to the Altar Servers and Sacristans, Choirs, Crib & Flower arrangers and Church Decorators, our  fantastic Cleaners, Readers, Ministers of Holy Communion, Catechists, Helpers at Masses, Collectors & Counters and Gift Aid team, Repository, Children’s Liturgy helpers, and all those people who work so tirelessly throughout the year behind the scenes.  Those who look after St Mary’s and St Katherine’s, the Parish committees – Finance, Building, Parish, Bazaar, Social and Safeguarding. To those who take communion and visit the sick and housebound. The Sisters of Mercy and Schools including Headteachers/Teachers. We are blessed to have so many dedicated parishioners.

Fr Moses’ Birthday Thanksgiving Mass  In thanksgiving to God for Fr Moses’ 60th Birthday, we would like to invite you all to a special celebration and fellowship after Mass on Friday 30th December at the Comprehensive School. We will begin with the Holy Mass at 7pm and the celebrations will continue afterwards. In order to celebrate the richness of our diversity here in the Parish, it would be wonderful if you could bring a dish and some drinks to share with others, but most importantly bring yourselves and your family. Confirmation 2023   If you wish to register a young Catholic (in Year 8 or above at secondary school) for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2023 please complete the Google Form by 31 December 2022: https://forms.gle/XBxpdYKQZqokptnZ7

Carol Concerts Thanks to the schools and Medway singers and our choirs for helping with carols this year. We raised close to £300 when the Medway singers came towards the roof renovation. That will be added to the £3,550 already raised by your generous contributions. Thank you for your response to this essential building work. We shall be having more fundraising events in 2023.

Last weeks collections:  First collection: £903.18, Thank you for your continued support. The collection over Christmas will be your personal gift to our MSP priests. Envelopes are available at the back of the Church.

Crib  Offerings from the crib go to the House of Mercy.

Baptisms  Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism. Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 9th       January 2023).

New Year Vigil  This Saturday 31st December there will a Crossover Mass of Thanksgiving at 10.30pm. All welcome.

RCIA  We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic     community, or wishes to be Confirmed. Please come to the Presbytery on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.

Southwark Directories 2023  These useful books are now available from the Repository.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Mass OfferingsIf you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

Missionary Society of St Paul invite you to their Annual celebration day on Friday 27th January at St George’s Cathedral, London. Mass @ 6.30pm celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson.

Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them.
