World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation  Pope Francis has established 1st September, encouraging the Catholic community around the world to pray for our common home. The day is inspired by Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical Laudato Si’, which calls on “every person living on this planet” to care for our shared Earth. He  warns that we are reaching “a breaking point” and must act decisively so that “we and future generations can continue to rejoice in creation’s sweet song of life and hope.” It runs until 4th October, the feast of St Francis of Assisi and as a parish we will celebrate this time.

International Mass – Celebrating our Unity and Diversity 1st October 2023  We want to celebrate our togetherness. Pope Francis announces the theme as “Building the future together.” –  humanity as brothers and sisters. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our fraternity with a very special International Mass. Please save the date so we can all celebrate as a parish community – this was a wonderful successful day last year. Can your community help to sing a part of the Mass? Please email the office for any ideas or help you are able to give.
