Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in     hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked  ordinarily.

Holy Rosary  October is the month of the Holy Rosary and will be said 30 minutes before every Mass Monday to Saturday morning and 5.30pm on Sunday during October –  everyone is welcome, please join us. Our Lady of the Rosary, pray for us.

All Saints and All Souls Wednesday is the celebration of All Saints and is a Holy day of obligation and Thursday the feast of All Souls. Please see the extra Mass times on both days.

Last weeks collections  £1,205.55. Missio £323.02. Thank you for your continued generosity. Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order and contactless.

Fr Moses and Fred Juma’s Birthday Please join us in the coffee bar next Sunday after 10.30am Mass for a piece of cake. Everyone welcome to share in the fellowship.

Bazaar Our parish bazaar will be held on Saturday 25th November at 12 noon in St Johns Comprehensive School. Please save this date. We are now collecting donations for the various stalls and there is a list attached to the newsletter. We still need helpers – either speak to Fr Moses, Sr Elizabeth, Jacky Hardy or Teresa. Only 4 weekends to bring in donations!

Draw tickets will be available at the back of the Church next week. Tickets are 50p or £2.50 a book. We would be delighted if you could take and sell them to your family and friends and encourage them to come to the Bazaar. Please return counterfoils and money by placing in a marked envelope in the collection plate, one of the priests or parish office. Thank you.

Sacrament of Confirmation Preparation Programme 2024  If you wish to register a young Catholic (in Year 8 or above at secondary school) for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2024 please complete the Google Form by 31 December : https://forms.gle/yJndo7GxVZMKUZ4t9

First Friday – Divine Mercy to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 3rd Nov. It will start at 3pm with Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Exposition and Mass. All are welcome to join us.

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday of each month a service will be held 11.30-12.30pm in the Church. . Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Saturday 4th Nov.

Baptism  We welcome into our parish family Miciah and Seona Salawu who were baptized last weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to  attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 13th Nov).

Macmillan Coffee Morning  Thank you to everyone who supported the Macmillan Coffee morning. We raised £266.85.

200 Club  October Winners 1st: £55 – Cliff Potter, 2nd:  £35 – Marie Potter, 3rd: £25 – C. Moreton, 4th: £15 – M. Sloan. We held the draw on Wednesday 25th Oct in the Coffee Bar. Thank you for your support.

November Please collect an envelope and list deceased family & friends and place into the basket available on the altar. They will be remembered at all Masses during November and a special Mass on 26th November at 8.30am.

St John’s Catholic Primary School Open Day 6/7/8/9/10th Nov @9.30am. Booking is essential 01474 534546

Remembrance Mass will be celebrated at St John’s on Wednesday15th November at 12 noon to remember and pray for all our family and friends who have died, especially those who died in the covid (lockdown) years. We read out the names of those who have died in our parish during the last year and you are invited to light a candle for them. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this annual Mass. Please, if you have lost anyone in the past 2 years, let us have the names through the Secretary so that we could include in the names to be read out.

RCIA We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic     community, or wishes to be Confirmed. Please contact the parish office or speak to Fr Moses on 07405803862.

School Forms We will be available to sign school forms on Tuesday between 2-4pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Mass IntentionsIf you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

Catholic Charismatic Renewal   Do you desire living more fully, more spiritually and discovering and putting your gifts at God’s service? This may be a group to try. We meet on Fridays at 7pm in St John’s Church

Senior Youth Day (school yr 7-11) at St Anslem’s Catholic Church, Dartford on Saturday 4th Nov. Please collect a leaflet from the back of the Church with all the details of the day.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.
