Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in     hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked  ordinarily.

Christmas Draw tickets are now available at the back of the Church and will be drawn at our Parish Bazaar on 26th November. Tickets are 50p or £2.50 a book. We would be delighted if you could take and sell them to your family and friends and encourage them to come to the Bazaar. Please return counterfoils and money by placing in a marked envelope in the collection plate, or parish office. Thank you.

Remembrance Mass will be celebrated at St John’s this Wednesday15th November at 12 noon to remember and pray for all our family and friends who have died, especially those who died in the covid (lockdown) years. We read out the names of those who have died in our parish during the last year and you are invited to light a candle for them. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this annual Mass. Please, if you have lost anyone in the past 2 years, let us have the names so that we could include in the names to be read out.

Praying for the Dead Please collect an envelope and list deceased family & friends and place into the basket available on the altar. They will be remembered at all Masses during November and a special Mass on 26th November at 6pm.

Deceased Clergy Mass will be held at The Holy Apostles, Swanley this Tuesday 14th November at 11.30am. You are      welcome to attend.

Last weeks collections  £1,256.68. Thank you for your continued generosity. Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order and contactless. This Sunday there will be a second collection for the Archbishop’s Appeal. This funds key areas of ministry, Youth and Evangelisation, Our Faith in Action (Caritas) and Clergy Care and Formation. Envelopes are available at the back of the Church.

Sacrament of Confirmation Preparation Programme 2024  If you wish to register a young Catholic (in Year 8 or above at secondary school) for the Sacrament of Confirmation in 2024 please complete the Google Form by 31 December : https://forms.gle/yJndo7GxVZMKUZ4t9

Baptism  We welcome into our parish family Delilah Louise Deane, Esme Giu and Noah O’Connell  who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to   attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 13th Nov).

Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all Masses this weekend 11/12th Nov. The most needed items are Tinned Cold Meat, Pasta Sauce, Coffee, Peanut Butter, Crackers, Wrapped Chocolate Biscuits, Shampoo & Conditioner. Thank you for your support.

Thank you The family of Josephine McEniff RIP thanks all those who have sent Mass Intention and attended the funeral. They are most grateful.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Come and join the fellowship after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesday.

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church. Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course has just started. Come to the Presbytery on Wednesday @ 7.30pm. God Bless.

School Forms We will be available to sign school forms on Thursday between 12-3pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm.

Mass IntentionsIf you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

Parish Christmas Retreat December. Lots of disillusions today amidst the wars, tight economy; where is God in all of these? Let us come and reflect together.

Bazaar  This year our parish bazaar will be held on Saturday 25th November at 12 noon in St Johns Comprehensive School. We look forward to seeing you there (Christmas jumpers optional). We are now collecting donations for the various stalls and there is a list at the back of the church with suggestions including bottles, teddies, toys, puzzles, Christmas decorations, Christmas goodies, toiletries, bags, scarves etc. Ideas are most welcome. Please let us know if you would like to help or have any queries about the bazaar.
