Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in     hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 7th June after 9.15am Mass until 10am Saturday 8th June. If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will always be someone with Our Lord.

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 7th June. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition, 3.30pm Mass. All are welcome to join us.

First Holy Communion for Children at Non Catholic Schools Please remember in your prayers the 42 children who will be making their First Holy Communion last weekend and this weekend. We thank the dedication of those who have prepared them for this big day.

Churches Together  There will be a picnic at the prom next Sunday 9th June 1-4pm and there will be testimony at the gathering. It would be lovely to support this event and meet some people from the Churches in Gravesend.  Please being something to share.

Rome We welcome back our group from their trip to the first World Children’s Day. We will have a display next week in the Church and website of this wonderful trip.

 Foodbank Collection  at all Masses next weekend 8/9 June. The most needed items are, Tinned Meat & Pies, Tinned Veg, Baked Beans, Cereal Bars, Honey & Peanut Butter, Noodles, Sweets & Treats and Shower Gel. Thank you for your support for local families in need. 

Southwark Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage Archbishop John warmly invites you to join him as he leads the pilgrimage, from 23-30 August 2024. Building a Better Marriage  If any married couples missed the recent Building a Better Marriage day at St John’s, you’ll be delighted to learn that another day is being held on the 29th June in the Carmel Hall at the Sacred Heart of Jesus church Sittingbourne from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Fr Jude’s Induction You are invited to celebrate the Induction of Fr Jude as Parish Priest in Meopham on 14th June at 7pm.

Last weeks collections  £1066.98. This week: MSP Appeal £1925.31. On behalf of the MSP, we are most grateful. We are still able to accept your donations/envelopes.  Thank you for your continued generosity and also to those people who pay by standing order and contactless.  Gift aid, standing order, bank details are available at the back of the Church or contact the parish office.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Max Brunt who was baptized this weekendApplication forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 10th June).

Stewardship Drive  We are each uniquely gifted, and called to serve the community with our talents; Please remember to return your commitment cards to one of the Priests, a steward or the Presbytery.

Stella Maris In 2024 parishes around the UK will be taking part in a Ring of Prayer for seafarers and fishers. This rosary-based prayer ring around the UK forms part of Stella Maris’ activities marking the Year of Prayer in 2024 which is leading up to the Jubilee Year in 2025 declared by Pope Francis for the church to observe. www.stellamaris.org.uk

Church Garden Thank you to our team of gardeners. The Church garden is looking lovely and a lot of work has gone into maintaining it. Special thanks to Mary Gaskill, Janet, Sean and Henri.

KSC Dinner Dance 3 August 5.30-9.30pm  Dear Parishioner, We are delighted to invite you to KSC Dinner/Dance and Fund Raising event. Please see flyer for full details. We wish to raise funds for St John’s & Our Lady of the Assumption, Northfleet, particularly youth competitions. Tickets are £25 per person available from a member of the Knights. On the night there will be a grand raffle draw with great hampers and prizes. Please buy a ticket and enjoy a great evening with music, dance, relaxation and interaction.

Booking Mass IntentionsEnvelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee  Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome. 200 club draw this week.

Summer Concert  Two for the price of one!! The popular Medway Singers will combine with Meopham Brass Band to treat us to a very warming, relaxing evening on Saturday 13th July at 7.30pm. Proceeds for the Church Renovation projects. Tickets are £10 to include a drink and nibbles; and will soon be available.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday  straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family. Please see the parish website for all our prayer groups.

Divine Mercy Chaplet The Divine Mercy Chaplet will be online at 3pm Monday – Friday. Click here for how to join the online meetings as well as the prayers if you wish to say the Chaplet privately.
