Take part in a spiritual “Pilgrimage to Pentecost”  Starts each Friday 2 May – 7th June in person at St John’s @ 7pm, Scripture reflections in a specially written course booklet, six weekly filmed talks pre-recorded at diocesan Jubilee shrines and churches and the closing Mass at the at The Friars, Aylesford on Saturday 7 June. 

Jubilee Celebration at Aylesford Priory Archbishop John is inviting us all to join him at Aylesford Priory on Saturday 7 June, 10 am-5 pm, for our Archdiocese of Southwark Jubilee Celebration Day. It promises to be a great event! For more information, visit aec.rcaos.org.uk/jubilee celebration.

This week: World Communication Day. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless. We are ever so grateful.

Confirmation Please remember in your prayers the 5 candidates that will be Confirmed at 6pm Mass this Sunday.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Roman Charles Johnson who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 9th June @7pm). Please email the office.

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 6th June. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition. Mass will be 3.45pm.  All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 6th June after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Sat 7th June. If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 12.30-6pm and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday of each month a service will be held  immediately after Mass in the Church. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer next Saturday 7th June.

KSC Council 977 Annual Dinner Dance and Fundraising 5th July 2025 at The Riverside Community Centre, Dickens Road, Gravesend DA12 2JY, Tickets: £30, 7-11pm. Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer.  We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Mother’s prayer group takes place straight after the 9.15 mass every Friday. You are invited to join us and pray for our children especially.

Wednesday Teas You are welcome to come into the Coffee Bar after the 12 noon Mass on Wednesdays for refreshments and friendship.

Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish. Please do not use the Dona Machine for Mass stipends.

Summertime 2025: 6th Aug – 9th Aug: Altar Servers Trip to Westminster Pastoral Centre, £189. For aged 11-16. We commend this excellent residential trip for altar servers and those who regularly attend mass on the weekend. In an event that has now gone on for more than 20 years, it is a few days for deepening one’s catholic faith, in a great social atmosphere, including football, sports and visit to Thorpe Park. Walk the Augustine Camino for Mary’s Meals  1 8 September. During this Jubilee Year we would be delighted if you joined us as Pilgrims of Hope on some or all of the Augustine Camino, starting at Rochester Cathedral, finishing at the Shrine of St Augustine in Ramsgate. The pilgrimage will take us to four of the designated Jubilee churches and shrines in Southwark Archdiocese: The Friars, Aylesford, St Jude’s Shrine, Faversham, St Thomas of Canterbury, Canterbury, St Augustine’s Shrine, Ramsgate. Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
