Parish Summer BBQ/Picnic We invite everyone to join us next Sunday 27th July at 12 noon at the riverside, near the pavilion for an afternoon of friendship and getting to know each other. Please bring something to share if you are able.
MSP Youth Event We are inviting young people (10-17 years old) for a social and spiritual experience that includes sports, singing, games and prayers at St John’s Comprehensive School on Saturday 2nd August from 10.30am to 5pm. Please go to the parish website and click on the link to register.
Baptism We welcome into our parish family Aria Karnovski, Penelope Montague and Jordan James Patterson who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 8th September @7pm). Please email the office.
First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Preparation classes on Saturday 27th September. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests

St John’s Comprehensive school This Tuesday 22nd July, Year 13 pupils of are giving up their beds, taking part in the SVP Summer Sleep-out. Influenced by Catholic Social Teaching our young people have look to the needs of our community. They are turning concern into action, raising funds for The Gravesham Sanctuary Homeless Charity. Thank You The Priests and cleaning team would like to thank Anna for all her help and commitment cleaning the Church as she returns home this month.
Foodbank Thank you for your generous donations last weekend. We were able to deliver 227.4kg of much needed food & other essentials to support local families in need.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.
Stamps Sister Delores is collecting stamps for the RNIB. Please place any donations in the box at the back of the Church.

Wednesday Teas Whilst the Coffee Bar is being refurbished there will be no refreshments after Mass. We look forward to meeting again once the work is complete.
Keep Fit Everyone is welcome to join our gentle exercise class which will take place in the main hall while work is going on in the coffee bar each Wednesday. Exercises may be done seated or standing. 30 minutes £3 a session.
A lifechanging opportunity! Do you desire to know Jesus more intimately? The Archbishop’s Certificate (ArchCert) is a two-year online course for all in Southwark and beyond who wish to understand their faith in a more profound way and be able to share it with both confidence and joy. The course will commence on 18 October 2025 and the cost will be £400 per year. The full cost of the course, payable over 2 years is £800. Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
Fr Moses Amune MSP Our beloved Parish Priest, Father Moses Amune will be going on a three month sabbatical from the 1st October before he moves to a new parish/mission. We thank him immensely for all his years of service and ministry in Gravesend. To show our love and support for him we shall celebrate with him on the 21st September during the International Mass. We are all encouraged to be part of this usual celebration of our unity in diversity.
Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
