International Mass & Thanksgiving for Fr Moses Our Annual International Mass Sunday 21st September 10.30am at   St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our unity in diversity; let us proudly express our uniqueness through our cultural identities.  10.30am Mass that day will be moved to the Comprehensive; there will  be no 9.30am Mass at Denton.

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools

Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Preparation classes start on Saturday 27th September. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests before the first session.

Baptism We welcome into our parish family Aiden Agyei-Benhene and Amelie Agyei-Benhene who were baptized this weekend. Also, Oluwansebebe Rotimi, Oluwafifehanmi Rotimi, Olumuyiwa, Daniel Fosora and Joseph Fosora who were baptized on the feast of the Assumption. Application forms for  Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to  attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 8th September @7pm) or email the office. 

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course will start on Wednesday 1st October. Contact the office or speak to one of the priests. Leaflets are available at the back of the Church. God Bless.

St Paul’s Catholic Church Diamond Jubilee Invitation, Meopham is celebrating 60 years since it was opened. You are warmly invited on the 31st  August. It will be lovely to have you among us, St John’s is our mother parish. We would  appreciate it if you let us know if you are able to attend for catering purposes: meophan@rcaos.org.uk

Last weeks collections  £1,079.09. Thank you. Thanks also to our parishioners who have signed up for Gift  Aid, increasing their donations by 25% at no extra cost to them.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

Mother’s prayer group takes place straight after the 9.15am mass every Friday. You are invited to join us and pray for our children especially.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer.  We especially remember our sick friends and family.

Keep Fit  Everyone is welcome to join our gentle exercise class which will take place in the coffee bar each Wednesday. Exercises may be done seated or standing. 30 minutes £3 a session.

Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish. Please do not use the Dona Machine. (The Diocese suggest £10 for an intention).

Lourdes Pilgrimage  St Anselm’s Dartford Parish are organizing a pilgrimage to Lourdes from  October 27th – 30th  at a cost of £399 per person. More information and application forms are available at the back of the Church

Stamps  Sister Delores is collecting stamps for the RNIB. Please place any donations in the box at the back of the Church.

Service of Hope & Healing for those that have been harmed by abuse will be held at St Georges Cathedral on Wednesday 24th September at 6.30pm.

School Forms  Fr Moses will be available to sign school forms this Tuesday between 10am-12noon. Please ring on the Presbytery bell.

Bank Holiday Monday Mass will be at 10am this Monday.

Month of Creation  From 1st September to 4th October, we are encouraged to care for creation and pray for peace. As a parish we shall hold a special Mass of Creation on the 1st September @7pm.
