Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families.

Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

International Mass & Thanksgiving for Fr Moses Our Annual International Mass This Sunday 21st September 10.30am at St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our unity in diversity; let us proudly express our uniqueness through our cultural identities. 

10.30am Mass will be moved to the Comprehensive; there will  be no 9.30am Mass at Denton.

 Baptism We welcome into our parish family Lyanna Mungacova Zigova, Theodore Dumea and Aris Dumea  who were Baptised this week. Application forms for  Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 13th October @7pm) or email the office. 

 First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Preparation classes start next Saturday 27th September attending the 10am Mass followed by a talk to children and parents in the coffee bar. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests before the first session.

RCIA You are welcome to the Catholic Church Are you searching or want to review your faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community, or wish to be Confirmed. A new course will start on Wednesday 1st October. Contact the office or speak to one of the priests. Leaflets are available at the back of the Church. God Bless.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

 Last weeks collections  £1,171.38  & £383.20 for the Catholic Education Service. Thank you. Thanks also to our parishioners who have signed up for Gift  Aid & those who donate by contactless & standing order. Next week there will be a second collection  for the Catholic Agency for the Support of Evangelisation

Foodbank Thank you for your generous donations last weekend. We were able to deliver 69.8kg of food & other essentials to help local families in need.

School Forms  The priests will be available to sign school forms this Tuesday between 10am-12md. Please ring on the Presbytery bell.

Service of Hope & Healing for those that have been harmed by abuse will be held at St Georges Cathedral on Wednesday 24th September at 6.30pm.

Lourdes Pilgrimage 2025, 21st – 25th Oct Cost £399: A pilgrimage trip with a  number of places left. Return flights from Stansted, half board, transfer from/to Lourdes. £70 single supplement. Month of Creation  From 1st September to 4th October (feast of St Francis of Assisi):  During this season we are encouraged to pray and engage in community events in order to deepen our relationship with God, our neighbour and the earth we share, being ever more attentive to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. Pope Leo stresses that environmental justice – implicitly proclaimed by the prophets – can no longer be regarded as an abstract concept or a distant goal.

You’re Invited to Tea with the SVP! Join the Youth SVP of St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School for a special community morning of tea, cakes, and conversation. Let’s share kindness, one cup at a time! Next Saturday, 27th September, straight after 10am Mass (from 10:30am) at Gravesend Conservative Club. All parishioners welcome!

Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.

Please remember in your prayers our teachers, children and parents as the new school term begins.
