Parish Pastoral Council Every parish group should appoint a representative to PPC. Please email Fr Emmanuel (emmanuelogunnaike@rcaos.org.uk) or the parish office so that we may hold a meeting.

Social Committee Volunteers are needed to organize events in the parish. Please email or speak to Fr Emmanuel if you may be interested in joining a small group.

Bereavement Group  If you are interested in the ministry of visiting the bereved in the parish, there is training available on the 9th May at Aylesford. Please contact one of the Priests or parish office as soon as possible to book the day.

Parish Project  This year we hope to change the kneelers in the Church to more comfy cushioned ones. The estimate is £23,500 (excl vat). Any donations will be thankfully accepted.

Free Marriage and Family Life events for Parents  For parents with teenagers; Catholic Celebrate are offering          2 webinars – Confident parenting in a world of screens 29th April 8pm and Raising teenagers in a Catholic family 2nd June 8pm. To book a place contact asap info@celebratetrust.org

Devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary  During May the Rosary will be recited after all Masses Monday-Saturday.

Baptisms We welcome into our parish family Jesse David Bailey-Bartlett who was baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the Sacristy. Please see the Priest after Mass to ask for a form. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 11th May @7pm – parents only) or email the office.

Last weeks collections St John’s: £977.40, St Mary’s: £208.61, Maintenance of St George’s Cathedral £220.45. Kneelers £400. This Sunday: A second collection for Priest Training Fund. Thank you for your support and continued generosity.

First Confession Please remember in your prayers the 66 children who made their first confession on Thursday.

Guild of Altar Servers rally The annual rally for Southwark Altar Servers is taking place at Aylesford on 4 May starting with Mass at 11.30am. The Principal Celebrant will be Bishop Paul Hendricks. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Mass in Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage, – July 11th, at St George’s Cathedral. If you are celebrating your 1st/10th/25th/40th/50th/60th + wedding anniversary this year, please let us know no later than the middle of May, providing your names, address, parish, and the anniversary you are celebrating. Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or drop into the Presbytery letterbox.

Wednesday Teas  Please join us after 12 noon Mass. All welcome. A big thank you to all those who support the coffee bar. They recently generously donated £521.09 to the parish.

First Friday Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the Church this Friday 1st May. It will start at 2.30pm with Rosary, 3pm Divine Mercy Chaplet and Exposition. Mass will be 3.45pm.  All are welcome to join us.

There will be 24hours continuous Adoration on Friday 1st May after 9.15am Mass until 10.00am Sat 2nd.  If you are able, please sign the clipboard at the back of the Church so that we can be sure that there will always be someone with Our Lord.  Adoration also held on Wednesday 10-12 noon and Saturday 10.30-12.30pm

First Saturday Devotions to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  On the first Saturday of each month a service will be held immediately after Mass in the Church. Everyone is welcome to join us in prayer Saturday 2nd May.

Stamps  Sister Delores is collecting stamps for the RNIB. Please place any donations in the box at the back of the Church. Thank you to all who have saved their stamps. There have been some very interesting ones.

Rosary For Life Archbishop John Wilson is calling on all of us to join him in praying the Rosary for Life this May (Month of Mary). Together, we will pray through the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous Mysteries, each one   offered for the most vulnerable facing growing threats to life: unborn children at risk of abortion, victims of war and   persecution, people with disabilities, and the elderly and vulnerable. Sick/housebound  Please contact the parish office (01474 352415) and let us know of neighbours/family members who are   unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion . We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. When on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
