Sick/housebound Please contact the parish office (01474 352415) and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. When on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.

FHC Preparation Programme 26127 including St John’s Primary School. Fr Emmanuel would like to hold a meeting for all parents of children making their FHC next spring 2027. The meeting will take place on Sunday 6th September straight after the 1 1 am Mass for a short talk. Your individual child’s Mass Attendance card will be handed out.

Pilgrimage to Lisieux Tangney Tours are offering a Pilgrimage to Lisieux from the 7th-10th of August by coach Please contact Tangney Tours if you are interested 01732 886666 or sales@tangney-tours.com. Fr Emmanuel will be the spiritual director and Frances Costen the tour guide.

Baptisms We welcome into our parish family Nylah Okorocha who was baptised this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the Sacristy. Please see the Priest after Mass to ask for a form. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (next session is Monday 13th July@7pm – parents only) or email the office.

Weddings Our prayers, congratulations and best wishes to Ajay Welch and Monika Retkin, Ruzena Mrocova and Mikulas Ziga, and Allen Paul and Poulami Bhattacharya on their weddings this weekend at St John’s. Please make an appointment to see the Parish Priest if you would like to get married at St John’s. Six months notice is required.

Tea & Cake with the Youth SVP Please join St Johns Comprehensive School young SVP in the coffee bar next Saturday llth July after loam Mass. Do support the young people with their efforts.

Last weeks collections St John’s: €816.96, Peter’s Pence E181.34, St Mary’s: El 72.66, Peters Pence E60.67. June standing orders E2,277. Next Sunday: There will be a second collection for Stella Maris (Apostleship of the Sea) supporting seafarers worldwide and providing practical and pastoral care. Thank you for your support and continued generosity.

Altar Servers Our next practice will on Saturday 11th July at lpm in the Church. Please do your best to attend, especially if you have just started serving. New Servers are welcome to join us.

Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all Masses next weekend 11/12 July. The most needed items are, Tinned Meat, Custard, Rice Pudding & Fruit, Peanut Butter & Honey, Baked Beans and Couscous. Thank you for supporting local families in need.

Youth Group will be holding an activity day on Saturday 18th July at St John’s Comprehensive School. Please meet at the Church for the loam Mass and we will make our way to the school.

Mission Appeal We welcome Fr Hilary Basil OSA from the Augustinian Missions who will be making an appeal over the weekend of 18/19th July.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament;come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after loam Mass until 12.00pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

Children’s Liturgy We welcome children of age 4-8 to weekly sessions at the llam Mass. Please, speak to a member of Children’s Liturgy team to find out more details

Padre Pio Prayer Group meet each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.

The Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm for an hour in the church coffee bar. All are welcome. Free entry and free refreshments. Next meeting 8th July; come and talk about your own choice of book. Organised by Gravesham with Ebbsfleet Rotary.

Stamps Sister Delores is collecting stamps for the RNIB. Please place any donations in the box at the back of the Church. Thank you for the recent donation of stamps -. there have been some very interesting ones.
