Parish Pastoral Council Every parish group should appoint a representative to PPC. Please email Fr Emmanuel (emmanuelogunnaike@rcaos.org.uk) or the parish office so that we may hold a meeting.

Social Committee Volunteers are needed to organize events in the parish. Please email or speak to Fr Emmanuel if you may be interested in joining a small group.

Bereavement Group  If you are interested in the ministry of visiting the bereaved in the parish, there is training available on the 9th May at Aylesford. Please contact one of the Priests or parish office as soon as possible to book the day.

Parish Project  This year we hope to change the kneelers in the Church to more comfy cushioned ones. The estimate is £23,500 (excl vat). Any donations will be thankfully accepted.

Free Marriage and Family Life events for Parents  For parents with teenagers; Catholic Celebrate are offering 2 webinars – Confident parenting in a world of screens 29th April 8pm and Raising teenagers in a Catholic family 2nd June 8pm. To book a place contact asap info@celebratetrust.org

Baptisms We welcome into our parish family Arthur Newberry and Alas Janovic who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the Sacristy. Please see the Priest after Mass to ask for a form. Families need to attend a preparation session before the baptism (the next session is Monday 11th May @7pm – parents only) or email the office.

Holy Hour for the Dignity of Life  Sunday 19 April – 4:30pm Join with the Bishops of England and Wales to pray a Holy Hour for the dignity of all human life as peers in the House of Lords continue to debate whether to make Assisted Suicide law. There will be exposition here at St Johns for one hour.

Last weeks collections St John’s: £965.25, St Mary’s: £246.51, St Katherine’s £129.51. Easter £105. This Sunday: a second collection for Maintenance of St George’s Cathedral. Next Sunday: A second collection for Priest Training Fund – this collection helps meet the cost of training students for the priesthood and diaconate. Thank you for your support and continued generosity.

First Confession Please remember in your prayers the 37 children who made their first confession this weekend.

Foodbank We are collecting this weekend 18/19 April. Most needed items are cous cous, tinned rice pudding/cold meat, biscuits & crackers, deodorant. Thank you.

Guild of Altar Servers rally The annual rally for Southwark Altar Servers is taking place at Aylesford on 4 May starting with Mass at 11.30am. The Principal Celebrant will be Bishop Paul Hendricks. 

Mass in Celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage, – July 11th, at St George’s Cathedral If you are celebrating your 1st/10th/25th/40th/50th/60th + wedding anniversary this year, please let us know as soon as possible, and no later than the middle of May, providing the following details: your names in the format John and Mary Smith, your home address, your parish, and the anniversary you are celebrating, so you can receive an invitation from the Archbishop for the renewal of vows during Mass.  Spaces are limited.  Contact us at mflkent@rcaos.org.uk   As the title of your email, please write your parish location e.g. Gravesend.  (Or contact the parish office with your details).

Booking Mass Intentions:  Envelopes for Masses are available at the back of the Church, write the intention and put the stipend in the envelope and hand to one of the priests or drop into the Presbytery letterbox.

Wednesday Teas  Please join us after 12 noon Mass. All welcome. A big thank you to all those who support the coffee bar. They recently generously donated £521.09 to the parish.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed 10.00-12 or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration.

Children’s Liturgy  We welcome children of age 4-8 to weekly sessions at the 11am Mass. Please, speak to a member of Children’s Liturgy team to find out more details.

Sick/housebound  Please contact the parish office (01474 352415) and let us know of neighbours/family members who are   unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion . We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. When on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
