Parish Summer Barbeque Everyone is invited to our summer get together today Sunday 4th August after the 10.30am Mass. The Knights of St Cölumba are helping with the organisation. The car park will be closed during this time.

International Mass Our Annual International Mass Sunday15th September 10.30am at St John’s Catholic Comprehensive School. Please do let us know if you are able to help in any way. There is now a clipboard for anyone who would like to make a donation of food, drink, disposable items etc. 10.30am Mass that day will be moved to the Comprehensive; there will be no 9.30am Mass at Denton

Thursday Mass will be at St John’s Church during the summer holidays. We wish all the staff, pupils and their families a happy and safe summer.

First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on Saturday 28th September. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests

Confirmation Certificates Those who have not collected theirs, call/email the office to arrange collection.

Baptism Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Families need to attend a talk before the baptism. Please phone/email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is Monday 9th Sept).

Last weeks collections £ 267.51. Thank you for your continued generosity and to those people who pay by standing order and contactless. Gift aid, standing order, bank details are available at the back of the Church orcontact the parish office or Jacky Hardy, our new Gift Aid coordinator.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Christ is really present in the Blessed Sacrament; come and talk heart to heart with Him, either on Wed (1 Oarn-12noon) or Sat after loam Mass until 12.30pm; or 1st Friday 24 hour Adoration

Foodbank We will be collecting donations for the Foodbank at all Masses next weekend, 10/1 Ith Aug. The most needed items are Tinned Meat/Veg/Custard & Rice Pudding, Squash, Noodles, Crackers, Jam/Honey and Sweetsnreats. Thank you for your support.

Tabletop Sale We hope to hold a charity Tabletop sale outside the church next Saturday 10th Aug from 9am to 1 pm. (weather permitting)

Table Top Sale Thank you to everyone who supported our table top sale last Saturday. We raised E207.06 for Church Funds and SVP.

Wednesday Tea/Coffee Refreshments are served in the Coffee bar after 12 noon Mass. All welcome.

New Lectionary – Ambo Edition We would like to thank all those generous people who have donated to the new lectionaries; enough money has been raised for the purchase. We will be organising the name plates soon.

Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
meetings Fridays at 7pm in the Church. You’re all welcome to come and listen, pray and share your faith.

The Divine Mercy Apostolate, London is holding a Celebration of St Faustina Birthday at Aylesford Priory, Aylesford, on Bank Holiday Monday 26 August from 10 am to 4:30 pm. The reflection day will include teachings on the Message of Divine Mercy, Holy Mass, Hour of Mercy with Stations of the Cross, Adoration and Benediction and Veneration of the Image of Merciful Jesus. All welcome.

Appeal for Knitters? Thank you to all those people who have made a shawl for our delighted parents getting their children baptised. We don’t have any shawls left for them to purchase. If you would like to knit/crochet a shawl we can reimburse the cost of the wool. We are not looking at any specific pattern although they need to be white. Please call at the office if you have any queries.

Sick / housebound Please contact the parish office and let us know of neighbours/family members who are unable to come to Church and would like to receive Communion or call 07405803862. We remember in our prayers those who are sick, housebound or in hospital & those who care for them and their families. Please, when on admission in the hospital or care home, volunteer the information of your faith as you won’t be asked ordinarily.
