Bereavement Ministry “Have you lost a loved one recently? Our Parish Bereavement Ministry is here to offer a hand of friendship and a listening ear. Please join us on Tuesday 6th September at 7pm, for a special Mass of Remembrance followed by refreshments in the coffee bar.
RCIA We welcome anyone who is searching or wants to review their faith or may be interested in joining the Catholic community. We are starting a new course on Wednesday evening 14th September. There are leaflets at the back of the Church that you may like to hand out for information. This course would also be suitable for any adults who wish to be Confirmed. Please contact the office or speak to Fr Moses.
International Mass – Celebrating our Unity and Diversity 25th September 2022 We want to celebrate our togetherness. Pope Francis announces the theme as “Building the future together.” – humanity as brothers and sisters. We are blessed with diverse nationalities in our parish. Let us celebrate our fraternity with a very special International Mass. Please save the date so we can all celebrate as a parish community – this was a wonderful successful day last year. Can your community help to sing a part of the Mass? Venue will be at St John’s Comprehensive.
Baptisms We welcome into our parish family Obidike Muotoh, Sienna Simpson, Aria Golubickas and Sofia Golubickas who were baptized this weekend. Application forms for Baptism are available from the back of the Church or the parish office. Dates for the baptism course can be seen in the porch (Families need to attend one of the talks before the baptism). Please phone or email the office if you wish to attend (Next session is 12th September).
First Holy Communion Preparation for Children at Non Catholic Schools Application forms are now available at the back of the Church. Sr Elizabeth will start preparation classes on 1st October after to 10am Mass. Please return completed forms to the parish office or hand to one of the Priests by the end of September.
Last weeks collections: First collection: £880.10, Church Maintenance £46.30. Thank you for your continued generosity. Thank you to all those people who also pay by standing order – forms are available on the information table if you would like to make your donation to the Church in this way instead of using gift aid envelopes or cash.
The Building Committee would like to thank us all for continuing to help to maintain the Church in good condition. Unfortunately, because of wear and tear, the roof is now leaking, it requires urgent attention.
Mass Offerings: If you would like to have a Mass offered for an intention, please fill in one of marked envelopes and hand to one of the priests or call at the presbytery between 10-2pm if you would like a specific mass. We cannot always allocate a Mass on the date requested as it may have already been booked, however, your Mass may be shared if you wish.
School Forms Fr Moses will be available to sign school forms on Thurs between 1-4 pm in the Presbytery. Please note that the day and times may change each week.
Youth We meet next Sunday after the 10.30am Mass. All young people welcome.
Padre Pio Prayer Group each Tuesday straight after 9.15am Mass in the Cry Chapel. All welcome to join us in prayer. We especially remember our sick friends and family.
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: Come to me all who labour and are overburdened and I will give you rest.. Come, pray, rest & watch before the Blessed Sacrament, either on Wed (9.30–11.30) or Sat after 10am Mass until 12.30pm .

Appeal for Knitters? Thank you to those people who have shown an interest in making a shawl. We are not looking at any specific pattern and different styles would be most welcome (last year we had over 80 baptisms in the parish).
World Youth Day 2023, Lisbon The Diocese are taking a group of pilgrims (age 18-35) to Lisbon 31 July-7 August 2023. Please talk to Fr Moses if you might be interested. Further information www.lisboa2023.org/en/
Step Into the Gap programme for 18-30 year olds. CAFOD offers the opportunity to spend a fully funded year volunteering in a retreat centre or school chaplaincy, where you will work alongside the Catholic community and others. It is a great chance to develop a range of skills and gain work experience within the context of your faith.
